End of Term - News Letter

For anyone that did not receive our newsletter in class.......

Have a fantastic summer, and we look forward to seeing everyone back in class in September.

Dear Parents,

As we come to the end of another dancing year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, the parents, for your continued support, patience and kindness over the last year, but most especially over the last three months.

With my sudden hospitalization in March, the school could have quite literally fallen apart. However, with the incredible goodwill of Judy, Karen, Jill and Laura, not to mention yourselves and our beautiful dancers, the school has not only stayed intact, but actually flourished!

I am so grateful to everyone and I hope that our wonderful 10 year Anniversary show next year will be the reward of everyone’s hard work.

Lastly, I would just like to reassure both dancers and parents that I will be back in my ballet shoes by September!! I look forward to a fantastic year ahead.

Best wishes for a happy and safe summer,

                                                                          Nicola Farcas.

NB!   Please take a moment to read about what our dancers have been doing over the last academic year, lots of proud moments for sure!

Dance Intensives & Summer Schools 2015

Students Performances

2014/2015

This year many of our girls attended Dance Intensives in February in Dance House and also over the Easter mid-term in the College of Dance, giving them the opportunity to dance with such teachers as Andrew Wilson, Katie Morea & Simon Brambell.

This summer, we have girls attending a broad range of summer schools, some of which are:

English National Ballet (London) – Sarah Montgomery

Royal Ballet School (London) – Ella Dennehy

Yorkshire Ballet School – Katie Burke

The Dance Summer School (Scotland) – Kristina Farcas

We wish them every success and will be delighted to hear about their experience in September

Irish National Youth Ballet

Snow Queen / Nutcracker

Irish National Youth Ballet

Spring Show

Dance Platform November 2014 - Helix

MLB Nutcracker

Dance Platform June 2015 - Helix

Exam Success

The March 2015 exam cycle resulted in more than 50% of the girls receiving a distinction. Congratulations to all who completed their exam.We have no doubt that those completing their exams in May 2015

will do just as well. We wish them every success, especially to our first

ever students to take on the Vocational exams (pre-professional).

Good Luck to everyone

2015/2016 Classes & Fees

The class timetable will be changing slightly. We will publish it on our website and Facebook pages and will contact you over the summer to confirm which class your daughter will be attending.

There will be no increase to our fees for the 2015/2016 year.We would, however, like to promote a change in how fees are paid. With ridiculous bank charges we would like to encourage people to pay via Bank Transfer.

For those paying online through the website from Sept 2015, there will be a 3% markup on the fees to cover the administration costs we are charged by the service provider.

Full details will be made available on our website

Looking forward to 2015/2016

As we commence our first term of a new year, we see our school grow again, offering new Baby Ballet classes, Extended pre-primary classes, as well as a new Grade 3 class in Balbriggan and a new Grade 5 & pre-pointe class in Santry for our current Grade 4’s.

We owe the success of our school to you, our supportive parents and to all the wonderful students.I really look forward to see what achievements 2015/2016 can bring.

Keep up the practice over the summer and I will see you all in September to help celebrate our 10th year.
