Health & Safety Policy
Dear Parents,
In order to safely reopen our school, we need to adhere to a new Health and Safety Policy, we hope that you understand and will support us. Details are outlined below.
The Nicola Farcas School Of Ballet Covid-19 Health And Safety Policy
Students displaying symptoms of Covid-19 or with a temperature are asked not to attend class for the health and safety of our staff and students.
Students who have travelled abroad should adhere to current government guidelines relating to travel.
Class schedule will has been amended to allow at time between classes to allow sanitisation of barres, props and surfaces and ventilation of the studio.
Should a student become unwell or exhibit symptoms of Covid-19 during class, they will be isolated from the class in a calm and respectful manner. Parents will be phoned and asked to collect their child.
Class Registers will be maintained for the purposes of Contract Tracing
Santry Students:
· Students will be collected from the main door 5 minutes prior to the start of their scheduled class by a NFSOB staff member, where their temperature will be taken contactlessly. Students should also not arrive too early to avoid congestion outside the main door.
· Students and visitors will be required to use hand sanitiser provided on entering and leaving the studio.
· Students and staff over the age of 12 will be required to wear a face mask. Parents / Guardians are also asked to wear a mask at drop off/collection points
· Numbers in the changing room will be restricted, we ask that students arrive dressed in dance clothes, under their regular clothes, Students may change from their regular clothes and change their shoes once inside, only if they can do so unassisted. Please minimise the amount of personal belongings accompanying the student.
· Parents/Guardians will be unable to wait inside the building during class time due to Social Distancing rules.
· If required, one parent/guardian may accompany our baby ballet students to the studio until student becomes comfortable with main door collection.
· Students must be collected promptly from the main door after class to minimise congestion at class changeover time.
· Note there will be no parking allowed outside the main door, to ensure people can wait safely. Please watch the crossing! Children must wait in our carpark area for a parent/guardian to collect them.
Balbriggan Students:
· We will adhere to the Covid Policy set out by Flemington Community Centre for student drop off and collection.
· Students temperature will be taken contactlessly before entering the studio / hall.
· Students and staff over the age of 12 will be required to wear a face mask. Parents / Guardians are also asked to wear a mask at drop off/collection points
